A friend of mine had a fairly nice wrx. It had an FP green, perrin fmic, aquamist hfs-5, forged pistons, and made 430whp.
Then the turbo blew up at the track.
Then he was on a stock turbo for awhile, and managed to blow up 3rd gear (for the second time).
So he was driving around with 4 forward gears, with a tune not meant for his setup, for a few months.
Finally he bought this:
That’s a nice little turbo from the folks at ATP. It uses a Garret GT3582R center cartridge and compressor with a tial v-banded hot side. It’s pretty:
when the kit is finished I’ll post more details, but suffice to say HB Speed might have something in the works for v-banded turbos.
